Years in London

	Science journals and magazines: In London Kumagusu wrote a number of theses and articles to such science magazines as ‘Nature’ and ‘Notes and Queries,’ through which he successfully demonstrated his erudition and won a high reputation.
	The British Museum: Following the success of his thesis ‘The Constellations in the Far East’ published in Nature, he started to visit the British Museum on a regular basis, where he was given the opportunities to read various kinds of rare books. He copied these books onto 52 notebooks (totaling 13,346 pages), which were collectively called ‘London Extracts.’
